The finalists for the Institute of Engineering and Technology Innovation Awards have now been announced and include some incredible innovations across the built environment, electronics, emerging technologies and healthcare industries.

This year a record 380 entries were recieved presenting a challenge to the Judges and an enthusiastic response from Nigel Fine, IET Chief Executive, who said “the IET's Innovation Awards 2010 are a truly global celebration of the best in engineering innovation and inspiration”.

Suzi Perry, Television presenter known for BBC Sport's Motorcycle series and as a co-presenter of The Gadget Show will announce the winnerslive on stage by during the gala IET Awards ceremony at 'The Brewery', London on 24 November 2010.
