Award Winning Connexion 2

| News

Connexion 2 has developed a number of devices with Triteq that look like ID cards. The cards have a panic button on the back which dials a number to a Call Centre where a trained person can listen in record the call and react appropriately whether it is to call the police, colleague or the person with the ID card or just keep listening until the situation has been resolved and record the events that follow. This device has provided lone works that extra bit of security to know that they are not alone.

In 2009 Connexion 2 devices were implemented into the NHS through the NHS Security Management Service's lone worker system and this system has recently been recognised as a winner of The National Personal Safety Awards 2010 a scheme run by The Suzy Lamplugh. The National Personal Safety Awards recognise individuals and organisations who have helped people stay safe from violence and aggression and demonstrated Best Practice in the field.

The NHS SMS won out in the Safer Workplace category, having been deemed by the judges as the employer which has “done the most to improve personal safety awareness among staff”
